As part of our ADVANCE Knowledge Production project designed to capture the ever-growing web of collaboration and knowledge production for gender equity through ADVANCE, we developed an interactive visualization of the ADVANCE co-authorship network and its publications from 2001 to 2020. We use this visualization tool to better understand the evolution of knowledge production and relationship networks within the ADVANCE program.
ADVANCE awardees and others can use the interactive visualization tool to locate themselves and their work within the ADVANCE network and to get a sense of the who, what, and where of ADVANCE knowledge production.
The current visualization is our Beta version. In designing future iterations, we will incorporate corrections, feedback, and observations about the structure and content from users who have explored the network. Our hope is that this research about the ADVANCE network becomes a tool for the ADVANCE community and anyone interested in gender equity in STEM and higher education.
We invite you to engage and explore with us.
